Penzance is never an out of season tourist town as sung by Chris de Burgh many years ago.

Penzance slows down and settles into a quieter time after September. There is still so much to see and so much going on. The biggest event is Montol. A celebration of midwinter.

Humphry Davy- our famous scientist whose birthday is at the beginning of December and is celebrating with a lantern procession through the town.

Penlee House has talks/lectures for you to attend, but also a famous gallery with changing exhibition of famous painters.

Wander through Chapel Street and look at the architecture of the houses. Some dating to beginning of 1700.Then there is the famous Admiral Benbow, the Rotterdam Houses birthplace of Maria Bramwell- mother of the Bronte sisters. The Union Hotel and let us not forget our famous Egyptian House.

Visit our Jubilee Pool, maybe take a dip? Walk along the esplanade towards Newlyn or St. Michael’s Mount. Storm watching when one wave after the other crashes over the esplanade.
